The Mekong Institute (MI), with support from the Mekong–Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF), will organize a series of Information Sharing Sessions across the Mekong region to introduce the MKCF program and provide guidance for prospective applicants preparing proposals for the 10th Call for Proposals.
The sessions aim to familiarize government agencies, academic and research institutions, non-governmental organizations, and other development stakeholders with MKCF’s program objectives, priority sectors, eligibility requirements, and key steps in designing and submitting competitive project proposals. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with the MKCF team through an interactive question-and-answer segment.
To ensure broader participation, the sessions will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing in-country participants to join either in person or online. The Information Sharing Sessions will take place in five Mekong countries:
Phnom Penh, Cambodia – March 24, 2026
Vientiane, Lao PDR – March 25, 2026
Bangkok, Thailand – March 27, 2026
Hanoi, Viet Nam – March 31, 2026
Yangon, Myanmar – April 2, 2026
Through these sessions, MI aims to strengthen awareness and engagement with the MKCF program while supporting regional stakeholders in developing impactful project proposals that contribute to sustainable development and cooperation across the Mekong region. Interested participants are encouraged to register in advance through the provided registration link here.
